Description:I love this place. This is gonna be fun. Chicago, IL – September 23, 2009 – Uptown’s bark is about to get a pitch louder! The neighborhood and LGBTQ-friendly pub, Wild Pug, and local singer/songwriter Stephen Leonard are geared up to launch “Unpugged: An Acoustic Concert Series” this fall – beginning October 6. Every Tuesday, various acoustic acts will take the fireside stage and perform hour-long sets including original and cover music. “Uptown has a lot of culture and music history,” says Steven Milford, Wild Pug Co-Owner. “We are thrilled to take part and bring acoustic entertainment to the community.” Lineups will vary each week with performers hailing from all over the Midwest and will also include an array of LGBTQ-friendly acts. “There are a lot of powerful voices out there right now and we are very excited to open the stage and bring people together,” says Unpugged host, Stephen Leonard – who will also be opening the set each week with original tunes. Lineup is subject to change. Signature drink specials will be available. Admission is free. Must be at least 21 to enter.
